Hari Om Parents,

We started the class with opening prayers and Ganesha Sharanam, and also practiced verses of the Guru Stotram. Next, we told the stories of Ajamila, Vinobaji, and Indra and Vrtrasura. We then played one Kahoot game based on all of today's material, and finally ended the class with closing prayers.

We were happy to see that the kids were engaged during the games, and they performed well.

We started the class with opening prayers and Ganesha Sharanam, and also practiced verses of the Guru Stotram. Next, we reviewed the "sharks of our minds" concept from last class, and told the stories about Pracinabarhi, Puranjana, and Priyavrata. We played one Kahoot game reviewing the material from last class, and two games based on all of today's material. Finally, we ended the class with closing prayers.

We were happy to see that the kids were engaged during the games, and they performed well.

Hari Om Parents,

Harinee Aunty was unable to attend today, so Adeet Bhaiya taught today's class.

We started the class with opening prayers and Ganesha Sharanam, and also practiced verses of the Guru Stotram. Next, we reviewed the Dhruva story from last class, and taught three new stories: one elaborating further on Dhruva, one about King Prthu, and one about Narayana Das and the genie. We played Kahoot games based on all of today's material, and finally ended the class with closing prayers, Aarti, and the pledge.

We were happy to see that the kids were engaged during the games, and they performed well. They also remembered important details from the Dhruva story we taught last week.

Harinee Aunty was unable to attend today, so Adeet Bhaiya taught today's class.

We started the class with opening prayers and Ganesha Sharanam, and also practiced verses of the Guru Stotram. Next, we played a Kahoot game reviewing concepts from the previous class. We then told the story about Dhruva and his strong, unwavering devotion for Narayana, and also a story about a little girl practicing selfless deeds. Then we played another Kahoot game based on today's material. Finally, we ended the class with closing prayers, Aarti, and the pledge.

We were happy to see that the kids were engaged during the games, and they performed well.

Hari Om Parents,

Last week, Harinee Aunty taught the kids about the three gunas, told the story about Kapila, and showed a cartoon video teaching the kids about the material that was taught. Adeet Bhaiya couldn't join last week because he was feeling sick.

This week, we did the Ganesha Sharanam prayers, and then we played a Kahoot game reviewing concepts from previous classes. After the game, Brahmacharini Akalka-ji came to the class and told the kids a story about how important it is to look for happiness within instead of outside us - the kids were very happy to see her and they asked a lot of questions. Next, Harinee Aunty told the kids another story, we played another Kahoot review game, and finally ended the class with closing prayers.

We were happy to see that the kids were engaged during the games, and they remembered the previous material well.

We began today's class with opening prayers, and had the kids continue practicing the first 3 verses of Guru Stotram from last week. We played Kahoot games reviewing the material from last week's class - they all performed very well and were engaged with the content. We also played the House Inaugural game. Finally, we concluded the class and had them join the common inaugural room.

Please encourage your kids to practice the first 3 verses of Guru Stotram, and please also make sure that they have the handbook and the My Prayers book.

Hari Om Parents,

We began today's class with opening prayers, and had the kids continue practicing Ganesha Sharanam and the first 3 verses of Guru Stotram from last week. We taught them about Sage Kasyapa and the birth of Hiranyaksa and Hiranyakasipu, and also told the story of Jaya and Vijaya. We played a Kahoot game reviewing concepts from the previous class - we were happy to see that the kids remembered a lot of the material.

We also practiced chanting Bhagavad Gita chapter 2 verses 41-42, and finally, we concluded the class with the closing prayers and the pledge.

Please encourage your kids to practice the first 3 verses of Guru Stotram, as well as the aforementioned Gita verses. Please also make sure that they have the handbook and the My Prayers book.

Hari Om Parents,

Today's Bala Vihar class was shorter than usual due to the Saraswati puja at 8pm. We began the class with opening prayers, and had the kids continue practicing Ganesha Sharanam and the first verse of Guru Stotram from last week. We taught them about King Pariksit's curse and his encounter with Sukadeva rsi, who advised him on how to live his last days. We also discussed Varaha Avatara, and Harinee Aunty showed a picture of her Kolu. Finally, we concluded the class with the closing prayers.

We were happy to see that all the kids were well-prepared for the Saraswati puja - all dressed up and with their puja plate and materials. Each of them showed us their puja plate.

We began today's class with opening prayers, and had the kids continue practicing Ganesha Sharanam and the first verse of Guru Stotram from last week. We taught the story of King Parikshit meeting Kali, Kali's addresses, and Parikshit getting cursed, and also practiced chanting Bhagavad Gita chapter 2 verses 39-40. We played two games covering today's topics (they were very engaged and excited during the games), and reviewed any incorrect answers. Finally, we closed with the Aarti and the Chinmaya Mission pledge.

The kids are planning to practice the next verse (second verse) of Guru Stotram daily.

Hari Om Parents,

Today was another great Bala Vihar class! We began the class with opening prayers, and had the kids continue practicing Ganesha Sharanam and the first verse of Guru Stotram from last week. We taught the background of Bala Bhagavatham and Naradaji's talk with Veda Vyasa, practiced chanting Bhagavad Gita chapter 2 verses 37-38, and then played a game covering today's topics and reviewing last week's topics. Finally, we closed with a cartoon describing Naradaji's life, the Aarti, and the Chinmaya Mission pledge.

Please have your kids practice the aforementioned Gita verses and the first verse of Guru Stotram for 15 minutes every day.

Hari Om Parents,

Today was the first day for the Bala Vihar Grade 3 class. We were very happy to meet the children – they are looking forward to the academic year. We started the class with opening prayers, and then chanted the Ganesha Sharanam and the Guru Stotram. We taught lesson 1, played a game, and finally closed with the Aarti and the Chinmaya Mission pledge.
