Welcome to Chinmaya Vrindavan Balavihar – Fri 0700 pm Toddler - Pre-K class session 2021-22. We are very excited to have you and your child in our class and we are looking forward to another great fun filled year of learning!
Our class started with opening prayers, introduction between parents and teachers, ground rules for the class, stretches and yoga.
As a class, we did the following:
Chanted/repeated the below 3 chants

As we are celebrating Ganesh festival, we told the story about "Ganesha and his birth" in which how Lord Ganesh was born and what happens when Devi Parvati ask him not to let anyone in until she permits. At the end of the story, Lord Ganesha gets many boons from Lord Shiva, Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu, including the one in which Lord Ganesha will always be prayed first before starting any good work.
We played a game called "Ganesha Says" followed by closing prayer. We couldn't start the Geeta Chanting this week as we did not have enough time but starting next week, we will start with Chapter 2 verse 39.

Meet and greet: Saturday, Sep 18, 6 pm-7 pm
We have a Meet and Greet Event planned for all registered Balavihar families on Saturday, Sep 18, 6 pm-7 pm at the ashram (Chinmaya Vrindavan, 95 Cranbury Neck Road, Cranbury, NJ 08512). It is a great opportunity to meet you and your child in person and address any questions you may have. You can also pick up books, and visit the temple/ashram.
For shishuvihar, a parent is expected to be with the child all through the class. Please be a partner in your child's balavihar journey. Please make sure your child is in a distraction-free area for the online classes.
Please have the following supplies handy:
My prayer book, crayons, glue sticks, adhesive tape, safety scissors, tubes of paper towels, empty cereal boxes, playdough.
Our classes start with an invocation followed by daily prayers, yoga poses, bhajans, meditation, storytelling, Sankrit numbers and colors, craft activity and ends with a closing prayer
