Nov 21, 2021 - Grade 2 (Sunday AM)

Hari Om parents,

        Hope everyone is doing well! Here is a summary of our class - 

1. We chanted 3 OM's and said our beginning prayers - Om sahna bhavtu then a shlok for Lord Ganesha ( Vakratunda Mahakaya), Devi Saraswati ( Saraswati Namastubhyam) and one for our Guru( Guru Bramha) respectively. The kids know the shlokas by heart. 👍

2. We then chanted the Dhyaan shlok and revised the meanings of the qualities we have learned so far.

3. Brainstorming- What is Arogata? Arogata is good health. Good physical health means a body that is free of all diseases. Headache, tooth ache, fever are some examples of the diseases of body. Health is wealth. We should be in good physical health to enjoy life. 

           Just as there are diseases of body, there are also diseases of mind. Pride, arrogance, anger, ego, jealousy, selfishness etc are just some examples. Diseases of the body make us physically weak, and diseases of the mind make us mentally weak.

4. We revised the names & qualities of Hanuman ji we learned in last class through a game of unscramble. Kids did a fantastic job. Here is the link - https://wordwall.net/resource/25415866

Meaning: After cleansing the mirror of my mind with the pollen dust of holy Guru's Lotus feet. I Profess the pure, untainted glory of Shri Raghuvar which bestows the four-fold fruits of life.(Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha).

Meaning: Fully aware of the deficiency of my intelligence, I concentrate my attention on Pavan Kumar and humbly ask for strength, intelligence and true knowledge to relieve me of all blemishes, causing pain

Jai Hanuman gyan gun sagar Jai Kapis tihun lok ujagar
Meaning:Victory to thee, O'Hanuman! Ocean of Wisdom-All hail to you O'Kapisa! (fountain-head of power,wisdom and Shiva-Shakti) You illuminate all the three worlds (Entire cosmos) with your glory.

Ram doot atulit bal dhama
Anjani-putra Pavan sut nama
Meaning: You are the divine messenger of Shri Ram. The repository of immeasurable strength, though known only as Son of Pavan (Wind), born of Anjani.
