Parent Portal 2021-22: Oct 31, 2021 - JCHYK Gr. 10-12 (Sunday AM)

Hari om everyone,

A quick update of a short class today! We were going to have the 'House Inaugural' event along with the rest of Bala Vihar. Hence we had a very short time in our own zoom room.

We started with prayers and Geeta dhyaanam 6 verses. We went straight into our interactive segment from there.

Questions in today's quiz were based on Halloween - do you prefer Trick or Treat. Most of them preferred to receive treats rather than play tricks on others :). Halloween reminded them of pumpkins, scary, witches, costumes, ghosts, candy corn, parties, etc. So, we shared this picture with the different elements of Halloween. Each is to remind them to stop a certain negative trait they may have. We asked them to pick one or two that they would like to improve upon for themselves.

Interestingly, on top of the chart were:

I want to stop: 'Fearing the Unknown' and 'Fretting about the Future'!

(Technically, they are the same thing, right?! Future is unknown and hence we fret and fear about it :). There is always a thing or two to learn on all occasions!

After this, we gave an overview of the task they had to complete during the House Inaugural'. We joined the main Zoom room for a fun group activity and presentation.

All the students did really well and presented their scenarios very creatively!
