Feb 25, 2022 - Grade 8 (Friday)

Hari Om!

Dear Parents,

We had a very interesting and fun-filled class yesterday! We started with the opening Shlokas and then welcomed a special guest, Brahmacharini Akalka ji, from Bridgewater! We were so excited to have her visit us! For those of you who had their children go through summer camp the past 2 years, you may be familiar with her as she was an important part of it. She introduced herself and asked the students to introduce themselves and name their favorite Superhero or book! Many of them shared that their favorite Superhero was Spiderman! We had 2 Junior CHYK (Chinmaya Yuva Kendra) students join our class too! They are High school juniors from our Friday Balavihar class.

Akalka ji told us a story about the 2 wolves in each of us representing goodness and negativity and the wolf that wins will be the one we feed. Balavihar helps us learn which 'wolf' to feed. The JCHYKs had a Wordle challenge for the class and most of the students got it right in the second try!! Then they had a Kahoot game on Mahabharata for the students which they enjoyed very much! We ended the class soon as we had to watch the Grade 7 monthly presentation.

We will meet again next week (3/4/22) with more interesting and introspective topics to discuss.
