Sep 19 and Sep 26, 2021 – Grade 2 (Sunday PM)
Hari OM Parents!
Welcome to the Chinmaya Bala Vihar 2021-22 Session. We had two
excellent weeks of Balavihar session on September 19th and September
26th.
Week 1 – 09/19/21:
● Started the class with 3 OMs chanting & opening prayers (Om
Saha Navavatu).
● Introduction of teachers & kids.
● Compilation of enthusiastically shared facts about Ramayan
story and Hanuman Ji and what children would like to learn from the
class.
● Zoom expectations.
● We played a recap game on "Ramayana story".
● We heard a story about "a boy who tells the truth to the
King about roasted seeds".
● Children did a coloring activity.
● Concluded the class with Aarthi in the main session.
Week 2 - 09/26/2020:
● Started the class with 3 OMs chanting & opening prayers (Om
Saha Navavatu).
● Reminded zoom expectations.
● Guessing Game: Mammals, Fish, and Insects.
● Animal classification: Vertebrates & Invertebrates.
● Thought provoking discussion regarding the need for a
backbone (both visible & invisible),
● Empty Pot Story and key takeaways.
● Introduction to Dyana Shloka - Kids were asked to repeat
several times word by word and with a tune.
● Discussion of Buddhir (Wisdom) - its importance and ways used.
● We heard a story about Buddhir on Akbar and Birbal.
● Children participated in a "scavenger hunt".
● Watched and practiced "Primer for Bhagavad Gita".
● Concluded with Aarthi and pledge.
