Chapter 3 verses 14 and 15
Keshavji while chanting previous verses:
Sanskrita pronunciation needs to be perfect. For example westerners, like from NASA are very open minded. There the white folks tend to be very sincere and we should applaud their effort.
Bhagavan says whosoever comes to me I will bless them.
When we correctly do padavi bhag, it gives us another level of clarity. Hence the importance of chanting correctly.
Real learning takes place on the job. Hence signing up for reading the shlokas actually teaches us.
Chanting correctly is Pranayama in itself.
Verse 14, Sunitha ji:
annād bhavanti bhūtāni parjanyād annasambhavaḥ
yajñād bhavati parjanyo yajñaḥ karmasamudbhavaḥ
BG 3.14: All living beings subsist on food, and food is produced by rains. Rains come from the performance of sacrifice, and sacrifice is produced by the performance of prescribed duties.
Verse 15, Sunitha ji:
karma brahmodbhavaṁ viddhi brahmākṣarasamudbhavam
tasmātsarvagataṁṁ brahma nityaṁ yajñe pratiṣṭhitam
BG 3.15: Know you that action comes from Brahmaji (the Creator) and Brahmaji come from the imperishable. Therefore, the all-pervading Brahman (God principle) ever rests in sacrifice.
Yagna here is doing our own job and doing it for the sake of world and community, not just selfish ends.
What is yagna?
Keshavji explained the meaning of yagna
Yaja deva pujayam
Doing every action with an attitude of deva puja is yagna. Doing every action with mindfulness and intentionality is also yagna.
Bhutas come from anna. Hence everything is interconnected.
Kumarji: Self improvement. When higher virtues drive an individual we pursue excellence rather than mediocrity. When you look at sportspeople they are required to give their best shot at everything. Even outside the field. This only comes from intentionality. Intentionality comes with virtues that we are trying to imbibe and live by. This verse is hence talking about the wheel of action.
Stop doing everything robotically. Dont do things in autopilot. Reduce mental clutter and create intentionality.
Keshavji and Kumarji explained verse 15
Mihirji: Do actions come from the creator (Brahma)?
Kumarji: Brahma here refers to our consciousness
