Here is this week's update.Week 12:

Opening Prayers and Stotras:
Class began with opening prayers. 3 OM's and followed by Sahanavavathu,
Om shrI Ganeśaya Namaha, shrI Saraswatyai Namaha, shrI Sat Gurubhyo Namaha.
We learned a Dhyana slokam "Sarva mangala mangalye" and had two volunteers to repeat and chant. We also learned a bhajan "amba parameswari" and a volunteer to repeat and sing. The Bhajan link provided below.

India our sacred land - We discussed the Rice, Lentils, Spices and pulses. Each child brought in their family as a reference and talked about the groceries used here as well as in India.
Followed by, India, "my" sacred land - presentation, 4 children presented their family practice of the usage of the groceries and one child brought in the spice, pulses in little boxes and showed it as part of the presentation.

Day 14 - the war continued after Jayatradh vadh and the subsequent sun set. As the day retires and the rakshas get more power in the dark, Bhima and Hidimbi's son Ghatotkacha was in full form and was showing no mercy to the kaurava camp. With his antics, he plays with Kaurava's army, he is causing big damage to the kauravas and Duryodhana is devastated. He requests Karna to kill the demon using the Sakthi astra. Karna, to keep his friend's word, uses the Indira given sakthi weapon,which was meant to destroy Arjuna .Gatotkacha falls on the part of the kaurava army and crushes it.
Krishna decides that Drona's mind should be diverted. Bhima kills the elephant called Ashwathama. He screams that he has killed Aswathama. Dronacharya wants confirmation from Yudhistra since he has never lied. Dharmaputra says Aswathama (the elephant)is dead. His statement was partially camouflaged (the elephant) by the sankha nadham.
A helpless and grief-stricken acharya sets to a meditative state and Dristadyumna grabs this opportunity to chop his head off.
